Started as “Quality and Food Safety Consultants”, the company was established in the year 2009 to bridge the knowledge gap in the industry about Food Safety Management Systems. This was at a time when FSSAI regulations were still not published, and the concept of HACCP and standards like ISO22000 were recognized only by the export houses.
With the formation of FSSAI in 2006 which lead to notification of FSSAI Rules and Regulations in 2011, the industry has come a long way. More food establishments are now aware of the hazards of the food industry (next only to pharma) but a shortage of expertise continues to exist. We now work with establishments big and small across India and Southeast Asian countries to help them implement systems and processes for an effective Food Safety Management System.
Over the course of time, we have come to believe that design is an integral part of implementing a good system and this is something that has been completely ignored thus far. To bridge this gap, we now provide services for planning and design of the production unit, be it a factory, a kitchen, cafeteria, or a lab. We are able to augment this with a strong regulatory understanding on the product side as well.
We are now a one-stop solution for all the industry needs on Food Safety.
Our vision is to be “A company that is respected by its customers for its technical knowledge and capability to understand their needs to provide verifiable solutions”. We believe that the Indian food industry is different from the west, with consumer’s preference for fresh food with processing being done at a medium scale. With consumption trending towards localization, building mega factories may not be the best way to move forward. This requires adaptive thinking and we want to be able to lead that in partnership with our customers.
